WhatsApp Customer Review
Overall Rating
WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps available right now. Its main attraction is that it works across both Android and iOS devices so that you can keep in touch with your contacts no matter what type of phones they have. You can send text messages, emojis, voice notes, and video clips. you can also use WhatsApp for voice calls and video calls too.
The user interface is quite simple. You have the main page which shows your active chats. You can also access the list of your phone contacts who have WhatsApp installed to start a conversation with any of them. You can search all of your conversations with ease and even “star” messages so you can easily access them later.
You can chat one on one or join group chats.
The company released a dark version which some people prefer as it drains less battery and is said to be easier on the eyes too.
Pros of WhatsApp
Low Data Consumption
You need Internet access to use WhatsApp but fortunately, it uses very little data when you simply text. You can also choose to not automatically download images and videos that are sent to you so you can keep in control of your data usage.
Since it just requires an internet connection, you can use your home wifi to save your on your mobile data.
Web Version
You can use WhatsApp on your desktop web browser after you link it to your computer. This means you can communicate with your contact using the computers' keyboard which makes typing a lot easier.
Cons of WhatsApp
Potential Privacy Issues
WhatsApp used to be an independent app but it was bought by Facebook a couple of years ago. With all the controversy around Facebook’s privacy violations, there’s some worry about WhatsApp too.
Not Broadly Used in the United States
People use WhatsApp all over the world because it lets them text for free. In the U.S, however, phone companies already provide unlimited texts to their customers.
WhatsApp Video Calling
Superb when you have a decent internet connection as of course video sending and receiving with voice takes a lot out of the connection. There is still no way to do group video chat though.
WhatsApp Messaging Features
WhatsApp supports text, voice, and video chats. It’ll let you communicate with your loved ones whatever way you want.
WhatsApp is completely free. There are no ads (currently) and so there is no better price to pay than ZERO
